Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) is one of the most important and successful engineering universities in China. In the 2021 QS University World Ranking, BIT ranked 392th in the world, 88th in Asia and the top10 in science and engineering in China. In 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), BIT ranked 201-300 in the world. It has been one of the key universities in China since its founding and the first batch of universities which has entered the national “211 Project”, “985 Project” and the “Top A World-class University”.
BIT has a traditional focus on science and technology but developing into other areas such as management and humanities. 1. BIT Freshmen Scholarship:
BIT offers Freshmen Scholarship which covers tuition fee (Full and Half) for the first academic year. The most outstanding international students will be offered 4-year scholarship
2. Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship and Belt & Road Scholarship
BIT offers Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship and Belt & Road Scholarship to the senior year students.
The scholarship has three rankings: First Prize (100% tuition wavier), Second Prize (50% tuition wavier), and Third Prize (25% tuition wavier). The evaluation is mainly based on the students’ academic transcript.
Belt & Road Scholarship is designed especially for Engineering students from Belt & Road countries. Except International Economics and Trade, all other major students can apply for this scholarship from the second year.
